Explore the official archive of O Gringo’s exhibitions and discover the artistic journey of a contemporary artist whose work brings together unexpected materials to tell stories connected through emotion, form, colour and historical memory. Working with a hybrid mixed media technique, O Gringo combines wood, Fine Art paper, azulejos, canvas, marble, resin, ceramics and other materials to create unique works that transcend traditional artistic boundaries.
Over more than fifteen years of public exhibitions across the United States, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal and other countries, his career reached a major milestone with a six-month solo exhibition at Lisbon’s National Tile Museum. Today, his work continues to be presented through permanent exhibitions, including La Smart Galerie at LX Factory, while new international projects continue to expand his artistic legacy.

This exhibition represents the dialogue between two moments of my career. Two exhibitions separated by one year, yet united by the same artistic research. During that time, I incorporated new materials into my technique, expanded my visual language and had the opportunity to present, in another capital, a story built from memories that belong to us all.
Memories leave traces. Those traces become lines, forms, colours and emotions, shaping our collective imagination into an endless source of possibilities. My work is an invitation to rediscover those fragments of memory and transform them into a contemporary artistic expression.
